We aim to show you our comprehensive offerings below. However, as we’re always evolving and adapting to individual horse and human needs, if there’s something you don’t see below — just inquire and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Contact us for information on monthly multi-week lesson packages, clinics, courses, internship programs, working student opportunities, and family/group education packages.
NOTE — we’re in the process of building our own arena at our new property. For the time being, all riding lessons will be offsite at your facility and we will travel up to 20 minutes (about 10 miles) from our home facility for no additional fee. Further distances will be considered at a rate of $0.55 per mile.
Trailer hauling is available for all current clients to various locations (e.g. vet, clinic, show), at a rate of $75 plus $2.00 per horse per mile.
Riding & Ground-Based Horsemanship Lessons
All ground lesson can be with our herd or your equine partner. All mounted lessons are with your equine partner,
Private Lessons
- Private lessons are customized for you and your equine partner. These could include relationship based groundwork, mounted instruction, behavior problem solving or holistic guardianship. Learn more!
Semi-Private
- Semi-Private lessons are customized for 2 people and their equine partners. These could include relationship based groundwork, mounted instruction, behavior problem solving or holistic guardianship. Learn more!
Group Lesson
- Group lessons are customized for 4 people and their equine partners. These could include relationship based groundwork, mounted instruction, behavior problem solving or holistic guardianship. Learn more!
Virtual Consultation
1 hour- Virtual consultations offer support even if you and your equine partner are not close to Renegade Equine’s facility. Virtual consultations can assist you with problem solving, nutrition, property plan development, and creating your own customized training plan. Learn more!
Private Half Day
Renegade or your facility- Partial day lessons work great for a combination of private lessons, property consulting, bodywork and more. Learn more!
Private Full Day

Horse Boarding
We have a number of different types of living arrangments, and will work with you on what will be suit your horse based on our current availability.
Full Care
for Your Equine Partner- Includes up to 1 lb of hay pellet mashed (timothy or alfalfa) daily, Dynamite Original Vitamin and Free Choice Minerals, owner supplied fly spray, Fly gear, and Blanketing, Supplement baggies made (guardian supplies all supplements outside of hay pellet and Dynamite), Basic Medical Care, Holding for Vet and Farrier. Full Grooming 1x week. Free Choice grass hay provided. Learn more!
Full Care & Partial Training

About us
Founded by long-time equestrian and trainer, Katie Dixon, Renegade Equine helps equestrians build holistic connections with their equine partners to improve performance through understanding their natural behaviors.
Our philosophy
Our training methodologies are guided holistic and personalized approaches based on personality assessments, horse and rider needs, and goals. We travel locally for lessons in and around Brownsville, Vermont and are available nationally for clinics.
